We had been planning a trip to Lake Cascade for the holidays in hopes of doing some ice fishing. We follow Tackle Tom's on Instagram and excited to support them. We got there the Saturday before Christmas and were treated like old friends. Santa came and gave my youngest son a hat, and a fishing jig. As soon as my son put the hat on, the owner said he needed a hook to put on it. My son has shown everyone we talk to since. My oldest was on his way, so shopped via FaceTime through our middle son. The owner gave his attention to them and even put the line in the new rod. The old friend vibe was so amazing! Even said they would look for us the next day since they were going out. I love this little shop that is always ready to help you prepare for all your big adventures. They are very knowledgeable and have a wide variety of all your fishing basics, needs, wants plus more. Almost anything you may forget at home or could not find at your local walmart they have ready for you to purchase for your next camping, boating, fishing and/or hunting trip with the boys or family. They do not have extremely high prices like you find at all the other mountain town or resort tackle and bait shops. Their staff is super helpful and always have an attitude that sends you leaving feeling like they could have been a long time friend. I also love their clearance rack. Not only do they just have supplies for your adventure, they are more than happy to give you pointers on where to fish, hunt, near by gun ranges, hunting/fishing guides, local places to eat and even point you in a good direction to set up camp. (Though I am sure they still keep their own personal honey spot to themselves haha).

Unfortunately all of their rental auger were out for the weekend. So what did they do? They tore open a brand new propane auger, put in the oil and “created” a rental auger for us. A must stop when traveling through Cascade. They always have just the right tackle for the lake you're fishing. I went in today on my way to Horsethief Lake and noticed my favorite rod had broken an eyelet. The owner quickly replaced my eyelet and I was off to the lake. Great service.

Tackle Tom's is a great store. The staff is helpful. They are very willing to help a person that is from another place and needing tips on fishing cascade reservoir. After getting bait, jigs and other items they have in store I needed, I had a successful trip after driving 9 hours. They have tons of stuff in the store for outdoor activities. I love this little shop that is always ready to help you prepare for all your big adventures. They are very knowledgeable and have a wide variety of all your fishing basics, needs, wants plus more. Almost anything you may forget at home or could not find at your local walmart they have ready for you to purchase for your next camping, boating, fishing and/or hunting trip with the boys or family. They do not have extremely high prices like you find at all the other mountain town or resort tackle and bait shops. Their staff is super helpful and always have an attitude that sends you leaving feeling like they could have been a long time friend. I also love their clearance rack. Not only do they just have supplies for your adventure, they are more than happy to give you pointers on where to fish, hunt, near by gun ranges, hunting/fishing guides, local places to eat and even point you in a good direction to set up camp. (Though I am sure they still keep their own personal honey spot to themselves haha).

Stopped in a Tackle Tom's to buy fishing licenses for the weekend and was met with two fantastic guys that helped my whole group out rather quickly. They have a great selection of baits, and the workers' personalities completed the experience! They're offering $1000 cash if you bring the next state record perch to them. They have certified scales, too, so you can bring in any brutes and get an accurate weight even if it isn't the record. I wish we had tackle shops like this back home in Minnesota!

We had been planning a trip to Lake Cascade for the holidays in hopes of doing some ice fishing. We follow Tackle Tom's on Instagram and excited to support them. We got there the Saturday before Christmas and were treated like old friends. Santa came and gave my youngest son a hat, and a fishing jig. As soon as my son put the hat on, the owner said he needed a hook to put on it. My son has shown everyone we talk to since. My oldest was on his way, so shopped via FaceTime through our middle son. The owner gave his attention to them and even put the line in the new rod. The old friend vibe was so amazing! Even said they would look for us the next day since they were going out. Be sure to check them out when you go to Cascade.
